An exciting opportunity has opened in Portugal for a Data Engineer to join a global leader in data-driven solutions. This role is focused on delivering advanced data architectures and pipelines that drive innovation and actionable insights for clients across industries. Working in a hybrid model with one day a week in the office in the greater Lisbon area, you will collaborate with a diverse and talented team to create cutting-edge solutions.

Role Overview

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data systems and architectures tailored to client needs. Your work will involve transforming complex datasets into valuable assets that enable smarter business decisions. You’ll work closely with data scientists, analysts, and architects to deliver impactful solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

System Design and Development

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and architectures to support seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
• Create data models and optimize storage and retrieval processes for scalability and performance.

Collaboration and Innovation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and deliver tailored solutions.
• Provide input on data governance practices to ensure security, compliance, and quality across all projects.

Optimization and Troubleshooting

• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in existing data processes.
• Continuously improve data systems to enhance reliability and functionality for clients.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering or similar technical roles.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with SQL scripting.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms.
• Experience developing data warehouses and building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Knowledge of analytics and working with unstructured data.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and adapt.
• English is mandatory
