About the Role
As an Account Manager for New Business Development, you’ll be responsible for identifying and onboarding new partners within the IT reseller ecosystem. You’ll focus on promoting innovative software solutions, with a particular emphasis on forward-thinking areas such as AI, FinOps, and sustainability technologies. Your network may include traditional VARs as well as modern integrators, MSPs, MSSPs, and OEMs within the Dutch market.
This role is ideal for someone who combines commercial acumen with a consultative approach to sales. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and vendor stakeholders to create impactful go-to-market strategies and ensure an excellent partner experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and engage new reseller partners for software solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with partners and prospects.
- Create detailed account plans for key clients.
- Offer consultative guidance on logistics, marketing, technical services, and financial models.
- Monitor market developments, partner pipelines, promotional opportunities, and competitive pricing.
- Initiate strategic partnerships and programs to expand market presence.
- Conduct regular client visits (minimum of 8 per week).
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and contact details in the CRM system.
Who You Are
- You take initiative and have strong perseverance and influencing skills.
- You have at least 2 years of experience in a client-facing commercial role—ideally in IT distribution, reselling, or at a vendor. Experience in inside sales or other sectors is also welcome.
- You’re an excellent communicator with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise way.
- You’re goal-oriented, collaborative, and thrive on creating win-win solutions.
- You bring structure and ownership to your work, including managing your own schedule.
- You’re fluent in both Dutch and English.
- You enjoy working as part of a team and participating in regular meetings (virtual or onsite).
