We’re partnering with a well-established, highly innovative tech organisation undergoing a major platform transformation.
This is a high-impact role leading the migration of a complex, data-heavy platform from on-premise to AWS - within a business operating at the forefront of retail intelligence and advanced data insights.
The Role
You’ll own and lead a large-scale AWS migration end-to-end - defining the architecture, shaping the strategy, and getting hands-on in execution.
This isn’t a “PowerPoint architect” role. You’ll be in the trenches solving real engineering challenges while guiding teams across multiple locations.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead full migration from on-premise to AWS
- Design and implement scalable cloud architecture
- Act as technical authority across engineering teams
- Drive best practices in cloud, security, and infrastructure
- Contribute hands-on to complex system challenges
- Support modernisation of a Java-based platform
Tech Stack
- AWS (EC2, RDS, VPC, CloudFront, Route 53)
- Java (Spring, Hibernate, Maven)
- PostgreSQL
- Docker & containerisation
- High-scale, data-intensive systems

- Proven experience leading large-scale AWS migrations
- Strong cloud architecture expertise with a hands-on mindset
