Freelance Frontend Developer (JavaScript / WebComponents)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Freelance Frontend Developer to join an experienced, product-driven tech team in the Netherlands. You’ll be working on modern frontend architecture, helping to maintain and improve existing products, while mentoring others and contributing to future roadmap planning.

This project is ideal for someone who enjoys greenfield development, values clean code and solid engineering principles, and thrives in an agile and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance existing frontend products
  • Contribute to frontend architecture and team roadmap
  • Foster a secure and inclusive team environment
  • Act as a mentor to team members
  • Serve as a Security Champion, promoting best practices
  • Continuously improve and share your knowledge

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • Expertise in JavaScript, CSS, and WebComponents
  • Experience with React Class Components or LIT
  • Strong knowledge of Webpack and Rollup
  • Familiar with C
