DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (Portugal-Based)

The Role

As a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll join a forward-thinking engineering team and bring reliability, observability, and cloud best practices to life. You’ll work side-by-side with software developers to ensure the platform runs smoothly, scales efficiently, and delivers a consistently exceptional user experience.

This is a high-impact role where your decisions shape the technical foundation of a growing FinTech product.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and scale cloud infrastructure across AWS and Vercel platforms
  • Automate infrastructure with Terraform and maintain IaC best practices
  • Implement observability across the stack with tools like New Relic, CloudWatch, and lograge
  • Ensure cloud security following OWASP and AWS Well-Architected principles
  • Optimize cloud costs and performance
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
  • Deploy Docker containers and support smooth schema migrations
  • Create robust alerting systems and incident response processes
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to improve system reliability
  • Drive post-mortem analyses and follow-up actions

What We’re Looking For;

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with AWS
  • Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure management
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Docker, scripting in Python/Ruby/JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with observability tools (New Relic, AppSignal, CloudWatch)
  • Structured logging and schema migrations knowledge is preferred
