Chief Executive Officer
Confidential Opportunity – Portugal
We are supporting an international organisation with the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer based in Portugal.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced executive who can provide strategic direction, lead people through growth and change, and create alignment across different teams and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will combine strong business leadership with an understanding of how technology, AI and digital innovation can contribute to an organisation’s future development.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the organisation’s strategic direction.
- Translate business objectives into clear and measurable priorities.
- Lead, develop and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
- Strengthen the organisation’s culture, collaboration and overall performance.
- Identify opportunities for growth, innovation and operational improvement.
- Build trusted relationships with shareholders, clients, partners and other stakeholders.
- Represent the organisation externally and support its long-term positioning.
- Ensure that decisions balance people, performance, innovation and sustainable growth.
Candidate profile
We are looking for an experienced executive who brings:
- A proven track record in senior or executive leadership.
- Experience leading complex organisations, divisions or business units.
- Strong strategic, commercial and operational judgement.
- Experience building alignment across different stakeholders and areas of a business.
- An understanding of technology, AI and emerging digital developments.
- The ability to lead through complexity, transformation and ambiguity.
- A collaborative leadership style, combined with the confidence to make difficult decisions.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Experience developing senior leaders and high-performing teams.
- Professional fluency in English.
Experience within an international, technology-driven or engineering-related environment would be valuable but is not essential.
